About Us

Julie Dorenbos is a certified Sunless Tanning Expert and Co-Founder of Skin Palette. She grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia spending every summer at the Jersey Shore. After receiving a business degree at Gettysburg College, Julie spent five years at ING working as a sales associate, variable annuity wholesaler and business development manager. Her accomplishments included being elected on the sales desk advisory council, winning both a sales desk annual and quarterly award, and working one-on-one with a billion-dollar external wholesaler. During this time, Julie’s two loves were financial services during the week and laying on the Avalon beaches by weekend. It wasn’t until one of her tanning beach buddies was diagnosed with skin cancer that Julie became fully aware of the dangers involved with sun exposure. After learning all of the risks of basking in the sun, Julie became an advocate for sunless tanning. Combining both passions, Julie teamed up with one of her close friends, Susie Celek, to open Skin Palette. Both Julie and Susie were professionally trained by the Infinity Sun experts at their headquarters in Beverly Hills, CA. Julie hopes to show tanning enthusiasts that even without the UV rays there is a way to look and feel great with a glow!

Susan is a licensed certified esthetician, sunless tanning expert and Co Founder of Skin Palette. As a former All American swimmer and captain of the University of Cincinnati women’s crew team, she has diligently trained around water and under the sun roughly 15 years. While athletics have always played a vital role accompanying school and work upon graduation with her degree in communication, she has since found the early damage of sun exposure to be nearly detrimental. It didn’t take anymore than one needle prick and sliver of an atypical mole from her breast to know it was time to stay out of the tanning beds and start protecting herself in the sun.

Through out her journey she has found that balance of work,health and play are central to her well being. Experiential marketing, boxing and running, and being actively involved with various charities has comprised the first 3 years in Philadelphia for Susan. This past year was spent developing Skin Palette with business partner Julie Dorenbos, assisting her best friend of 8 years and starting TE for the Philadelphia Eagles, Brent Celek, with public relations and brand image building, as well as receiving top quality training and education in esthetics from Aveda that she implements on a daily basis with clients.

Faith, Skin Palette and Boxing are Susan’s passions. She believes that if people have the best foundation for themselves, they can bring amazing fruit to all realms of their life. Faith sets her foundation, Skin Palette and boxing have been both challenging and confidence boosting. Our goal at Skin Palette is to give people an opportunity to tap into the secrets of the stars and approach their life with confidence, feeling good about a sun kissed tan and healthy skin.

Amber graduated from PB Cosmetology Education Center in 2006 and since then, she has worked in a few different settings such as a small family owned spa to a large spa in one of Atlantic City’s biggest casinos. Over the years, she has grown to love the art of esthetics which has caused her to focus on the brilliance of airbrushing, whether it is stunning makeup or a gorgeous, glowing tan. Having much passion about what she does, Amber is one of the fortunate ones who love going to work each day.

In a few months, you will know Amber by a different last name and that is because she will be marrying her best friend of 7 years. The two will be exchanging their vows in Mexico where she will be sporting a custom airbrushed tan provided by Skin Palette.
